Go to or virtually visit a gallery or museum and choose one work of art that interests you. Without looking at the title, artist, or any other background information about the work:
- Write down your observations about it.
- How does it make you feel?
- What about the work that appeals to you and what do you dislike?
Part II
Then, read the background information provided about the work of art. Afterward, write down:
- What do you feel, see, and understand differently about the work?
- What information changed your understanding? Why?
